Snake Plant

Zoomed in snake plant leaves with yellow variegation, ideal for indoor air purification and decor

Tips:

  • Light: Versatile with light; does well in low to bright, indirect light.

  • Watering: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings.

  • Soil: Use well-draining soil to prevent root rot.

Tricks:

  • Pot Size: Choose a pot that is not too large; Snake Plants prefer to be slightly root-bound.

  • Leaf Care: Wipe leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep them looking fresh.

  • Propagation: Easily propagated by dividing rhizomes or rooting leaf cuttings in water.

Sad Plant Signs:

  • Yellow Leaves: Overwatering is the most common cause. Ensure the soil dries out completely before watering again.

  • Brown Tips: This can indicate underwatering or low humidity. Increase watering frequency slightly and avoid placing the plant in a drafty area.

  • Mushy Leaves: This is a sign of root rot from overwatering. Remove affected leaves and allow the soil to dry out before watering again.
